Our client, a leading global EdTech company is building a system that delivers real-time, adaptive learning experiences at scale. We're supporting them with a search for a truly senior, principal-level AI engineer (5–7+ years hands-on) to own core architecture, ship to production, and help the tutor emulate - or even surpass - the best human tutors.
What you’ll do
- Build and evolve the core AI tutoring system, including prompt architectures, agentic workflows, tool use, and real-time adaptive behaviors.
- Run rigorous experimentation and evaluation; create custom metrics/frameworks to measure learning effectiveness and improve reliability.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable software integrating AI capabilities with platform systems, content pipelines, and UX components.
- Collaborate with educators, content creators, and product teams to translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions.
- Productionize novel model interactions and ensure quality, safety, and observability via monitoring, testing, and guardrails.
- Share knowledge and raise the bar through mentorship and clear technical leadership.
What we’re looking for
- 5–7+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems (not just prototypes).
- Strong experience building complex LLM-based systems (prompt/program design, agentic patterns, reliability, evaluation).
- Excellent software engineering fundamentals and architecture skills; strong Python; comfortable with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.
- Background in education/tutoring/learning products (or deep interest in learning science) and strong empathy for learners.
- “Builder” mindset: comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end and simplifying systems without losing capability.
Location, travel, and employment
- Remote-friendly from the US, Europe, or UAE.
- The first 3–6 months may involve frequent travel to Dubai to work closely with the founding team for onboarding/training.
- Full-time employment position with entity placement depending on where you’re based.
Working hours/time zones:
We are looking for candidates who can comfortably align their working hours with Gulf Standard Time (GST/UTC+4). Ideal candidate locations include:
- Dubai (Local)
- Europe (CET/EET preferred, WET considered with flexible hours)
- United States (Eastern Time - EST/EDT only, to ensure sufficient daily overlap)
A Note on Candidate Authenticity
Due to the high volume of fake profiles, synthetic applicants, and identity misrepresentation in the current AI engineering market, our agency conducts strict initial profile vetting and pre-screening. Furthermore, our client’s interview process requires live, scenario-based technical discussions and real-time code reviews to verify hands-on experience.
Please note: Any application found to be synthetic, AI-generated, or involving identity theft will be immediately rejected and reported to LinkedIn and relevant authorities for fraud. We value the time of genuine builders and are committed to keeping this hiring process secure and transparent.
