Curriculum Manager — Data Science & AI
  • Location: Remote (Belgium, Portugal, UK, US are preferred, but all Europe, UAE and the US are okay)
  • Logistics: full-time employment (Belgium, Portugal, UK, US, UAE) or B2B contract in other locations
  • Role Type: Individual Contributor
About the Role
Our client, EdTech scale-up, is seeking a technical Curriculum Manager for Data Science & AI who operates with a startup mindset—combining deep domain expertise, a passion for high-quality education, and advanced AI engineering workflows. In this role, you will own a core segment of our curriculum, managing content creation, partnering with subject matter experts (SMEs), and directly building and operating internal agentic AI systems (e.g., custom Claude Code plugins) to scale production. We build with a craftsman mindset: high speed, low ego, and zero academic fluff.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Planning: Research market trends and hiring manager expectations to decide, structure, and prioritize new courses across Data Science, ML, and Data Engineering.
  • Content Production: Author interactive courses and collaborate with external SMEs, translating technical concepts into their hands-on Markdown/YAML format.
  • AI Systems Ownership: Build, maintain, and refine agentic AI workflows that generate, validate, and update course content at scale.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Technical & Domain Depth: Hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL with real-world experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering.
  • Agentic AI Workflow Mastery: Demonstrated experience using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Replit to 10x your output. You build automated pipelines and custom plugins rather than just prompting ChatGPT casually.
  • Systems-Thinking & Deterministic Validation: Ability to write deterministic code (e.g., Python parsers) to validate non-deterministic LLM outputs against strict structural schemas.
  • Education & Teaching Signal: Public track record of creating technical learning materials (e.g., YouTube tutorials, technical blogs, bootcamp instruction, or internal developer documentation).
  • Startup / Scale-Up Experience: Comfort with ambiguity, fast iteration cycles, high workload, and a bias for execution.

Recruitment process: Talent Acquisition Interview, Hiring Manager Interview, Case Study, Executive Final Interview (face-to-face in the nearest client's office; the travel will be organized and paid by the client)
