For one of our clients we're hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to build and scale high-traffic, real-time systems on a modern .NET stack.

Design, build, and own backend services in a microservices, event driven architecture, from conception to production.
Develop clean, maintainable, and well tested code in C# / .NET (including .NET Core), focusing on performance, reliability, and security.
Work with asynchronous messaging and real-time data flows (e.g. message brokers, queues, pub/sub) to support low?latency, high-volume scenarios.
Take features end-to-end: requirements refinement, technical design, implementation, testing, observability, rollout, and post?release improvements.
Collaborate closely with Product, QA, SRE, Data, and Frontend engineers in an agile, cross-functional squad.
Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision?making within your team and the wider backend chapter.
Help improve engineering practices: automation, CI/CD, monitoring, incident response, and continuous refactoring.
Mentor and support less?experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and raising the technical bar of the team.

Min. 5 years of experience developing production backend systems with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
Proven work in large scale, in-house product platforms or similarly demanding environments (high traffic, high availability).
Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous messaging (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
Good grasp of web fundamentals (HTTP, REST), API design, and secure, robust integration patterns.
Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server) and caching/NoSQL technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, logging, metrics, and monitoring for services running in production.
Comfortable working in agile teams, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of problems until they are solved.
Passion for writing high quality code, continuous learning, and challenging the status quo to improve systems and practices.

Based in Greece, remotely or with hybrid options if you are near the office.
You’ll join an autonomous squad with real ownership over backend services that are critical to the business.
